  • TV Tower Praha is the highest building in Prague. From three observation cabins at the height of 93 metres there is a surprising bird’s eye view of the Pragues´sights. On a clear day you can see as far as 100 km. 66 metres above the level of Prague there are air-conditioned cabins of panoramic restaurant a café and a lounge. Open daily 10.00 a.m.-11.00 p.m.

POWDER TOWER

OLD TOWN HALL

  • Established in 1338, after King John of Luxemburg agreed to set up the town council. The neo–gothic northern wing was destroyed by Nazi shells on 8 May 1945 and has never been rebuilt. Today the Old Town Hall consists of a row of colorful Renaissance and Gothic buildings with the tower at the end. The Town Hall acquired its clocks in the 15th century. The councillors are said to have been so anxious to prevent clockmaker Hanu¹ from recreating his work elsewhere, that they blinded him. January - December: Halls: Mo 11 - 18, Tue - Sun 9 - 18 Tower: Mo 11 - 20, Tue - Sun 9 – 20 Sewerage: Mo-Sun 10-20 Barrier-free access to the Tower: barrier-free lift from the ground floor to the 3rd floor – followed with a separate lift to the City Hall Tower – an access platform is placed between both lifts.

Prague Castle

  • Located above the town, founded in the 9th century by Prince Boivoj, the residence of Bohemian princes and kings, since 1918 it has been the seat of the President of the Republic. A legend says that alchemists lived in those cute little houses on Zlata ulicka; what’s more certain is that goldsmiths and later Franz Kafka were residents.
