Prague Galleries: Glass Gallery TESAR

Glass Gallery TESAR

  • Skoøepka 4, 110 00, Prague 1

„A glass ACT: Although the Galerie Tesaø in fact offers „only“ drinking glasses of a single shape and appearance, it provides a pleasant counterbalance to shops with very colorful, ornate glass. Glassmakers Milan and Veronika Tesaø take advantage of simple cutting in a cultivated manner. Their interesting, dynamic line achieves an artistic effect on simply-shaped drinking sets and carafes, from clear or matte glass.“ Open: Mon-Sat 10:00-19:00

Prague Galleries: Galerie HOLLAR

Galerie HOLLAR

A Czech graphic art gallery with tradition dating from 1917. The HOLLAR Association of Czech Graphic Artists, which owns the gallery, was founded in 1917. The association called itself after the most famous engraver, Václav Hollar (1607-1677). The founding members were mostly students of Max ©vabinský, who from 1910 headed the special department of graphic art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. Members of the association are recruited from professional artists based on the most demanding artistic criteria. The activity of the HOLLAR Association of Czech Graphic Artists was banned by the communist regime between 1972 and 1989, and was restored after November 1989.
