The exposed brick walls, ornate wrought iron chandeliers, red furnishings and black high chairs create an enigmatic, gothic, castle atmosphere. It takes a while for your eyes to adjust to the candle-lit lighting. Then the shadowy corners of the room seem to come alive as flamboyantly dressed figures slowly emerge from the life-size frescos on the walls. The medieval scenes of feasting and carefree merriment are enough to raise the appetite of any guest.
