The oldest music club in Prague.

Rock Café is 3-storey club situated on one of the most luxury and frequented prague avenues, right in the middle of the centre – on Národní Avenue, near The National Theatre. It´s the oldest music club in Prague (founded in 1990).
In the ground floor there is the main bar of Rock Café called Jim Beam Bar, music hall, PC spot and CD shop.
In the basement you can find Absolut bar (besides other all kinds of Absolut vodka), cinema and gallery.
In the first floor there are offices of the managment of Rock Café.
The visitors can visit here live concerts of different styles (rock, punk, punk-rock, ska, reggae, hard-core, nu-metal, funky, worldmusic etc.) every day from Tuesday till Saturday. Regularly every Tuesday is with no entrance (so-called FreeZone) and every last Friday in a month counts to the contest of three young bands with their own production (so-called Rock Cafe Contest).
The club is opened every day (mon – fri 10 a.m. – 2.30 a.m.,
sat 5 p.m. – 2.30 a.m., sun 5 p.m. – 1 a.m.) and every “concert” day you have 3 actions in 1 admission price :

Sometimes there are concerts or shows made by agencies in Rock Café, so the admission and accompanying programme can change.
At present Rock Café has big problems with noise informing from the club to the appartments above it. That´s the main reason, why it has curfew for live music at 10 p.m. and also the reason, why managment in cooperation with the City of Prague are prepairing reconstruction of music hall. The new music hall will be situated in the basement and it´s going to be ready during spring 2006.
